Responsibilities:

  • Execute market entry strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research covering customer needs, competitor activities, regulatory requirements, and partnership opportunities.
  • Develop business cases, revenue models, and growth hypotheses for new markets.
  • Create and implement action plans to establish new business operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business associations, insurers, healthcare providers, and corporate partners.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships.
  • Develop networks with healthcare institutions and medical professionals.
  • Manage end-to-end projects for establishing new overseas operations.
  • Coordinate licensing, regulatory approvals, and compliance requirements.
  • Recruit healthcare professionals and key operational personnel.
  • Oversee facility setup, equipment procurement, and technology implementation.
  • Coordinate with legal, tax, and accounting advisors regarding entity establishment and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and manage key business performance indicators, including revenue, profitability, customer volume, and service quality.
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
  • Support the stabilisation and growth of newly established operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development, Management Consulting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading a business launch, market entry project, or other greenfield initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate business hypotheses and drive growth in dynamic or uncertain environments.
  • Business-level English proficiency for liaising with English-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and undertake short-term overseas assignments within Asia.
  • Experience in launching new businesses or supporting business expansion across multiple countries is an added advantage.
  • Experience within regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, financial services, or pharmaceuticals is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of cross-border legal, tax, and accounting considerations is an added advantage.
  • Project management experience is an added advantage.
  • Experience developing partnerships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, industry associations, or related organisations is an added advantage.
  • MBA or equivalent business management knowledge is an added advantage.
