Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry for purchase and sales transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare, process, print, distribute, and file purchase and sales documentation.
  • Prepare documentation required for billing processes.
  • Coordinate with trading staff, customers, and vendors to ensure smooth operational activities.
  • Support performance monitoring and reporting activities within the trade function.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and other applicable legal obligations.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and address delays, discrepancies, or operational issues.
  • Resolve matters relating to shipping, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade activities and prepare periodic reports for management review.
  • Analyse operational data, evaluate trade performance, and recommend process improvements.
  • Support additional trade-related administrative and operational duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trade, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of international trade laws, regulations, and policies, including Incoterms and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
  • Familiarity with trade documentation, customs clearance procedures, and logistics management processes.
  • Strong coordination, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Import/Export Operations is an added advantage.
