Job Summary:
We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English) EUC Development & Maintenance Manager to support banking clients within a consulting environment. The role involves developing and maintaining EUC tools and backend systems using Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL Server, SSIS, and PowerShell, while operating in a Waterfall SDLC framework.

The candidate will lead a small team of engineers, contribute hands-on to development work, and act as the main liaison between IT stakeholders and end users. Strong banking IT and consulting experience, along with solid technical and communication skills, are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain end-user computing (EUC) tools using Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Design, develop, and support systems using SSIS, SQL Server, stored procedures, and PowerShell on Windows Server
  • Manage full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within a Waterfall environment
  • Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 engineers while contributing as an individual contributor
  • Act as the main liaison with stakeholders, including internal IT teams
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to end users in a user-friendly manner

Requirements:
[Must to Have]

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
  • Prior experience as a consultant in an established consulting firm
  • Experience working on banking IT projects and within banking IT departments
  • Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
  • Hands-on development experience in at least one programming language
  • Strong experience with database and server technologies (e.g., SSIS, SQL Server, stored procedures, PowerShell, Windows Server)

Soft skill: 

  • Ability to analyse issues logically and explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work within regulated environments and adhere to strict IT governance policies
  • Experience managing end-to-end SDLC using a Waterfall methodology
  • Team leadership experience with a proactive communication approach

[Good to Have]

  • Experience with Microsoft Access VBA (forms, queries, modules, reports, macros) is an added advantage
  • Development experience using .NET or C# is an added advantage
