Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and medical practitioners during fertility and related surgical procedures in the operating theatre.
  • Perform scrub nurse duties independently while maintaining strict sterile techniques and infection control standards.
  • Provide circulating nurse support during procedures to ensure patient safety and smooth operating theatre workflow.
  • Prepare, organise, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and operating theatre inventory.
  • Support medical procedures, including ultrasound scanning, artificial insemination, and other clinical treatments as required.
  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care and monitor patients throughout the treatment journey.
  • Perform venipuncture and other nursing procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, medication administration records, and patient documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Provide financial counselling by explaining treatment plans and associated costs to patients.
  • Liaise and coordinate with doctors and clinics to facilitate seamless patient care and treatment scheduling.
  • Assist in stock management, inventory control, and procurement of medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing.
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Experience as a scrub nurse in an operating theatre environment.
  • Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G), day surgery, surgical centre, or IVF settings is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, sterile techniques, and infection control standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical and surgical environment.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and patient counselling skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and medical practitioners.
  • Willingness to support operational requirements, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
