Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in inpatient rounds as part of the ENT team
  • Manage patients in outpatient clinics under consultant supervision
  • Attend to inpatient cases and emergency referrals during on-call duties with appropriate supervision
  • Assist in ENT procedures and surgeries in both day surgery and operating theatre settings
  • Escalate complex cases to senior doctors or consultants
  • Support teaching activities for junior doctors and medical students
  • Undertake administrative duties, including medical reporting and preparation for morbidity reviews
Requirements:
  • Recognised medical qualification accredited by relevant medical regulatory authorities
  • Full medical registration in country of practice
  • Minimum of 24 months postgraduate clinical experience
  • At least 12 months of experience in an Otolaryngology department in a relevant clinical role
  • Strong knowledge of otolaryngology conditions, including head and neck anatomy, pathology, and physiology
  • Ability to diagnose and manage common ENT conditions, including emergencies
  • Competency in basic ENT procedures such as:
    • Flexible and rigid nasal/laryngeal endoscopy
    • Aural toilet and intra-tympanic injections
    • Removal of foreign bodies in ear, nose, and throat
    • Epistaxis management
    • Fine needle aspiration of head and neck lumps
    • Laceration management (toilet and suturing)
    • Nasogastric tube insertion
    • Tracheostomy care and management
    • Incision and drainage of head and neck abscesses
  • Ability to work effectively in a team within a structured clinical environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
